The Alma Singers of Sale (website)

We are a 30+ 4 part choir which was established more than 40 years ago. We rehearse each Tuesday from 7.30pm - 9.45pm at The Avenue Methodist Church, Wincham Road, Sale M33 4PL. Our repertoire is very varied: from madrigals through American musicals to modern choral music. Family History Society of Cheshire - Sale Branch (web link)

The Sale Group meet on the second Wednesday of the month , starting at 7.30pm for an 8.00pm talk. We meet at Trinity Methodist Church, Trinity Road, Sale M33 3ED.

Visitors are always welcome and there is free parking in the local streets, which is recommended as the church car park gets very congested. We charge £2 for members of the FHSC and £2.50 for visitors. This charge includes light refreshments. We are a friendly group and welcome visitors.

Self Help a user-led mental health charity (website)

Self Help delivers a range of primary mental health care services and initiatives across Greater Manchester for people experiencing common mental health difficulties such as anxiety, depression and low mood. Walk and Talk Support Group

If you have dementia and would like to meet and spend time with others affected by dementia, you'll be welcomed at our Walk and Talk support group. Carers welcomed too! We meet every Tuesday from 10.30am at Worthington Park (Broad Road entrance). We have a gentle walk around the park (there are plenty of benches for resting) and then go over the road to High Lee House for refreshments and socialising until 12pm. Our experienced staff and trained volunteers run the group to help you get the most out of the sessions and are on hand to offer information and advice.

Breeze recreational bike rides for women: (website)

Breeze is British Cycling initiative to encourage more women onto their bikes. We organise free fun bike rides, starting from locations in Sale and Altrincham, and most are off-road. Rides are led by qualified British Cycling ride leaders, and booking is done online via the website. Breeze is a brilliant way for women to start cycling, get back into cycling, or to get fit and make new friends at the same time. We are a friendly bunch of women who enjoy chatting as we cycle. Our outings often include Café stops for tea and cake.

Jazz Improvisation Class

Walking Football at Walton Park Indoor Football Centre

Walton Park Indoor Football Centre [WPIFC] at Walton Park Sports Centre, Raglan Road, Sale . WPIFC is a not for profit charity, which represents 400+ indoor football players on a weekly basis, to provide facilities for indoor football at Walton Park . Ideal for over 50s, but is actually open to all age groups. The main difference from normal football - there is NO RUNNING! Only walking is allowed. This is a minimal contact sport and so it's a great way to keep fit and healthy (hopefully, without the aching limbs!). Natural Recovery Action Group (Website)

Action for Sustainable Living (AfSL) holds the gardening project "Natural Recovery" at Syrian House, a care home for people with mental health problems in Sale. Volunteers, residents of the house and youth offenders meet every Wednesday at 2pm to work the garden. Our aim is to help residents in their recovery, to offer people from the local community the possibility of participating in a sustainable project and to work towards social inclusion. jo@zumbacheshire.co.uk

National Blood Service (Website)

The National Blood Service host regular blood donation sessions in Sale and Timperley and we are looking to increase the number of people attending to give blood in the area in order for us to continue to meet the demands of local hospitals. New or regular donors are encouraged to contact 0845 7711 711 or to visit www.blood.co.uk to make an appointment to donate or for more information about being a blood donor, including details of the donation process, donor eligibility and how blood is used.
