Welcome to Sale Community Web
Sale is a bustling town which originated on the banks of the river Mersey many hundreds of years ago. This website is for all residents, past and present, and visitors. We hope it will give a comprehensive guide to what goes on in Sale.
The town has undergone a lot of re-development in recent years. Go to Google maps, streetview for a tour of the town - example. You can click on the arrows to journey round the town and double click to zoom in. Hold the mouse button and drag to pan round - brilliant!!
This website provides free publicity to promote what goes on in the community. The main emphasis is on the voluntary sector, charities and non profit groups, local activities and consumer issues generally.

Stride for Truth Community Events |
Please contact us any with queries or more information on any aspects of the group
We run the Community Interest Company Stride for Truth. We run events, workshops, parties, activities and fitness sessions, meditations and generally bring people together. We hold community parties in Sale West and are making efforts to get the word out to the local community.
All children come for free but we charge adults five pounds but this includes a hot / cold drink. So effectively one adult could bring lots of children and only pay five pounds. We also do a Halloween and a Christmas party at the same venue,

FRANCIS HOUSE CHILDREN'S HOSPICE
|
Providing appropriate respite and end of life care for children and young people with life limiting illness and the necessary support and short term care for their families. Read all about the Hospice and the work we do on our web site, click on logo or heading above.
WHAT WE OFFER - WHO WE ARE - GET INVOLVED |
Francis House is a very special children's hospice in Didsbury, Manchester which cares for children with a short life expectancy, and their families. Caring for someone, often for twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week can put a huge strain on families. When parents are told their child has an illness for which there is no known cure, the news is devastating.
Make September your STEPtember and help raise
funds for your local Children's Hospice – Francis House
If you complete 10,000 steps every day for the 30 days of September, you will have walked almost the distance from Didsbury to London!
Sign up for our 10,000 steps a day challenge during September and show your support for our nurses, care team, the families we help and the enormous STEPS they face every day. These families are constantly navigating demanding paths and our care team walk with them, helping them on their journey and creating special memories along the way. When a child's life is short, we need to make every possible moment count.
