Horizons offers a range of activities for single people and couples of all ages. There are talks, walks, meals, theatre and cinema visits, trips to places of interest and occasional weekends away. There is an event every Tuesday evening and most weekends.

Theme changes each half term to keep them interested (parents as well as children!). Facilities to have a coffee & a chat with fellow parents.

Natural Recovery Action Group

The action group "Natural Recovery" holds a a gardening project at Syrian House, a care home for people with mental health problems in Sale. Volunteers, residents of the house and youth offenders meet every Wednesday at 2pm to work the garden. Our aim is to help residents in their recovery, to offer people from the local community the possibility of participating in a sustainable project and to work towards social inclusion.

We provide a bi monthly magazine and arrange a wide range of related activities such as visits to racing stables, local race days and competitions. Oddfellows Community Social Group
The Handforth and Altrincham Oddfellows is a friendly society, which was established in 1838. The Society, which anyone can join, has a long history of making friends and helping people. Initially Oddfellows was formed as a support mechanism for its members before the development of the welfare state. Refresh Cafe
Refresh Cafe is a community based project in Sale moor offering a wide range of services to the local community including youth services as well as parent drop in's and family work. Recently we were granted funding to provide drop in counselling absolutely free of charge. Service users can expect to sit with a qualified counsellor and discuss any issues in a confidential and non-judgmental environment.

The service operates every Tuesday from 9am -12 noon @ Refresh Cafe On Norris Road

Stockport, East Cheshire and High Peak Cerebral Palsy Society

We are running Leisure Groups in Trafford on a Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon, the current timetable is offering indoor climbing, bowling, mini golf, golf driving range, swimming, indoor canoeing and walking. We also are starting an all day Sunday Walking Group in August but with the current level of response we are looking to run this all year round. Check the web link above for further information. Theatre of the Senses
Theatre of the Senses is a not for profit company and was founded in manchester in 2011 by Shaun O'brien and Tamra O'Brien. We are based in Trafford. Our mission is to bring theatre to a wide theatre audience. We also produce an extensive educational program. The company has embraced the idea of multi-sensory, and placed great importance on all 5 senses, through lighting, sound, taste, smells and touch.

Productions include Macbeth, Jack and the Beanstalk, Romeo and Juliet, Agammenmon, The Alternative Frog Prince, The Harlet’s Curse , John Lennon Story. Cast members are from all over South Manchester, from various cultural backgrounds and of all age groups. We prides ourselves on being a community orientated group and never turning anyone away. Theatre of the senses is a force for change in theatre, breaking down barriers, challenging preconceptions and actively placing disabled and disadvantaged artists on stage. see advert for applicants
