Action for Sustainable Living (AfSL) holds the gardening project "Natural Recovery" at Syrian House, a care home for people with mental health problems in Sale. Volunteers, residents of the house and youth offenders meet every Wednesday at 2pm to work the garden. Our aim is to help residents in their recovery, to offer people from the local community the possibility of participating in a sustainable project and to work towards social inclusion.

We offer affordable face to face counselling for children from the age of 6, adults and couples. A reduced rate is available for those in receipt of a means tested benefit. We offer home counselling for those who are unable to attend our centre due to health issues. We can also offer counselling in other languages, please speak to a member of staff for more details.

Deafblind UK is a membership organisation of, and governed by, people who are deafblind or have both a sight and hearing loss. We champion the rights and interests of all people who are deafblind or have a combined sight and hearing loss and deliver quality services to give these individuals autonomy and control over their lives. Through our work we support equality, independence and choice.
We provide support services to individuals with a combined hearing and sight impairment through social groups and befriending. We are hoping to start a new social group in the Trafford area.

Elizabeth FitzRoy Support We provide practical support for adults with all forms of learning disability. We currently support around 35 people from the local area, providing educational and leisure opportunities, and helping them to access community facilities throughout Sale and the wider Manchester area. Patchwork is a Mobile Artistic Mental Health and Wellbeing Service for Trafford and South Manchester. We run free art sessions for people with long term mental health issues and people affected by bereavement, stress and or trauma.
Providing Drug and alcohol services in Trafford. Phoenix Futures brings positive change in the lives of individuals, families and communities affected by substance misuse. We reduce the impact of drug and alcohol related harm and enable our service users to rebuild their lives. Our purpose is achieved through the skills and dedication of our staff.
We work to support children and parents in separated families. We are involved with the family courts producing assessments of parents in residence and contact proceedings. We also work on earlier intervention and within the community. We offer therapeutic support, parenting groups, fathers support groups, contact support, mediation. A non-profit organisation working in Trafford. We help older and vulnerable people who own their own home, those in privately rented and social housing, with repairs, improvements and adaptations. The objective is to assist people to remain living independently in their own home in a safe, secure & warm environment.
We will advise and assist on all types of work including building maintenance, windows and doors, heating, damp problems, roofs etc. We also provide a “low cost” handyperson service for a range of small jobs. We also provide benefits checks for over 60’s. All advice is free. Unfortunately we don’t undertake gardening, decorating, gas or electrical work, but we have a comprehensive list of vetted contractors we can supply to clients.
