Dogs for Good We're an innovative charity, exploring ways dogs can help people overcome specific challenges and enrich and improve lives and communities. Our assistance dogs support adults and children with a range of disabilities and also children with autism. You can help us as a Volunteer, with fundraising, be a puppy partner, with a donation or a legacy. Do visit our website for detailed information.

We also have Volunteer Speakers who would love to come and visit your community group, philanthropic, scout/guide group or school to tell you about the essential work of the charity and how our dogs literally change lives. The Speaker would likely be one of our clients with their own assistance dog.

We're celebrating 30 years of making life changing differences for people with disabilities. Read our story.

FitzRoy Trafford has been working with people with learning and physical disabilities in the local area for over 20 years.

We support around 50 people (aged 18+) each week – at our resource base in Sale, out in the community or out from home. The people who use the service have a wide range of learning disabilities, physical disabilities and sensory impairments - cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy, visual or hearing impairments, for example.

We run all kinds of activity sessions to get people learning new skills, keeping active and making new friends – from cookery clubs to IT groups, from art projects to cinema visits, from horticulture to communication groups…there's something for everyone. We also run an evening social group, ASDAN courses and support people with disabilities to volunteer at other community projects, using their skills to help others.
